My Story

Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Taylor Young, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a PhD in Medical Family Therapy. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to helping individuals, couples, families, clinicians, and organizations heal and thrive through a Biopsychosocial-Spiritual (BPSS) approach. This means honoring the powerful connections between our physical health, emotional experiences, social relationships, and spiritual identities.

A significant part of my journey has involved teaching medical professionals how to integrate behavioral health into patient care and cultivate greater collaboration between mental and physical health providers. My clinical, teaching, and research experiences across academic health centers, primary care clinics, and community-based settings deeply inform the comprehensive, integrated support I offer clients.

I have had the privilege of supporting a wide range of individuals, from high-conflict couples seeking deeper connection, to individuals navigating stress, grief, trauma, and identity exploration. I aim to warmly welcome clients from all backgrounds, creating a therapeutic space rooted in respect, affirmation, and inclusivity.

Whether working in therapy, supervision, or consulting, my goal is always the same: to create spaces where people feel seen, understood, and empowered to live more connected, meaningful lives.
